We are only on this Earth for a short period of time. Whether we are lucky enough to live till our hundreds or our lives are unexpectedly cut short. I wanna look back and be able to say I made the best of my life while I was here. That means I’m going to live the life I want and have always imagined.
Too many people get caught up in the worldly way of life. They have their little families and work for the money hungry crooks and vote for the power hungry people to run this place. They fight wars to make peace. When if they really looked at it they are only destroying the Earth and filling people’s lives with anger and sadness more than happiness. That is not the life in this world I want to experience.
“People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.” -H. Jackson Browne
This applies to my life because my mom seems to think I’m lost in life and the life I want isn’t realistic, when really it’s just different from the road she wishes me to take. The other part is people take roads looking for happiness. I don’t believe in the pursuit of happiness because happiness is not a destination it is a way of life.
Setting aside the issues going on in this world and looking at ways to better it and enjoying the little things is a way I keep my life happy. This has made me develop a strong appreciation for everything that brings happiness in my life. Plus the world causes too much stress and negativity I prefer being the overly optimistic one.
Ryan Adams said “There is nothing wrong with loving the crap out of everything. Negative people find their walls. So never apologize for your enthusiasm. Never. Ever. Never.”
I don’t judge others happiness, but those stuck in a life of routine are ones who were in the pursuit of happiness but found their walls before ever reaching happiness.
I wish everyone was on the same page as me but thinking you can do whatever you want was more of a middle school way of thinking. Now six days before the end of senior year everyone else has probably started thinking realistically, and I’m still off in my life of dreams.
Stephen Chbosky wrote, “Things change. And friends leave. But life doesn’t stop for anybody.”
This is a time of change for all of us and our friends begin to take different roads but life doesn’t stop, it will go on whether you’re happy or not. So why not get stuck in the life of dreams rather than the life of reality where the world really isn’t that bright.
Last night was the first night I actually talked to someone new. It felt good to have someone get to know me and me to get to know him. It’s a plus that he’s attractive and good personality. The like 10 mins we actually slept and cuddled was alright with meeeeeeee. haha Besides all that though he’s a good friend, and I plan to keep it that way. (: tsss
The big kid. Not having to go to work everyday go through the same bullshit routine. I wanna travel meet loads of people. Maybe even write a book telling people my stories. I’ve already had life experiences that no one else could compare to and I want to keep doing that, never having a dull moment in life.
